Released in 1998 on the Disney Channel, the film follows the Cromwell family as they are drawn back to Halloweentown by their grandmother as they must confront an evil force bent on merging Earth and Halloweentown. Starring Kimberly J. Brown, Debbie Reynolds, and Judith Hoag, it's a wholesome yet entertaining approach to Halloween that has entered the pantheon of memorable films focused on the spooky holiday. Award-winning screamwriter Jess Byard joins Chris in-person to talk about every facet of the Halloween season, the film's representation of family, and their combined love of haunted houses.
