Cori Sykes, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, is the dreamer behind Write and Vibe Publishing, an independent publishing company that specializes in producing books that celebrate childhood, livelihood, sisterhood, and Black love. Along with being a multi-talented creative, Cori is an accomplished author who has written several books, including romance novels published under the pen name of Chichima Cherry, and the Curiously Cara children's books that introduce lesser-known historical African Queens to little knowledge seekers.In her commitment to share knowledge and expertise, Cori has taught classes through a partnership with the Cleveland Public Library, and she has also curated classes through Write and Vibe that were taught by renowned bestselling authors and local subject matter experts. Her efforts have been recognized and featured by various publications and podcasts.In addition to her other accomplishments, her children’s book, Curiously Cara Meets Pharaoh Hatshepsut was a number one new release on Amazon, and her romance novel, Just Like Old Times, was a finalist in the 2022 “Best Book” Awards and it also won second place in The BookFest Awards. This recognition speaks to the quality of her writing and the impact it has had on readers.
