In my opinion I believe that integrity and ethics have left the building when it comes to church. When you look at scandal after scandal with men and women of God across all denominations. You can't help but think as a congregant, am I in a burning house? No one ever wants to consider the thought of their spiritual leaders having a reprobate mind or the church that they're in being a place void of God's glory. This episode is one that will make you think. It is now a buyer beware atmosphere when it comes to your worship and those that lead you spiritually. We can't have the attitude of: I can't see it from my house, when it comes to spiritual leaders and their indiscretions affecting other people. We must have the attitude of what affects one affects all. We are our brothers keepers, and if it means standing against spiritual leaders to keep your brothers and sisters from being violated you need to do so. Too many times we insulate the villainous pastors and vilify the victims all in the name God and loyalty to the pastors of burning churches.
