Haunted houses. According to Wikipedia a haunted house is a house or other building often perceived as being inhabited by disembodied spirits of the deceased who may have been former residents or were otherwise connected with the property. It’s a shadow of the past flashing before us in the present. For the greater part of recorded human history there has been lore passed down of spirits refusing or in some cases not being able to pass onto the other side. Some places are just built over an area where the veil is just a bit thinner than others. Are these apparitions caused by an excess of negative energy, or by deaths of vengeful individuals? Is it a child whose time was cut short and they haven’t just yet realized because they’re not done playing.
Movies have for years portrayed haunted houses as evil places. In some cases bastardizing and even romanticizing what a haunted house really is. Taking only the profitable parts of the lore and ignoring the less interesting bits. Everyone’s got a haunted house story. Do you? Ask your self this though... is your house haunted?
