Explanation of the ninth hadith in the Heart Therapy Series:
The Messenger salla Allahi alayhi wa sallam said: (Amanah descended in the middle of men’s hearts, then the Quran descended and they learned the Quran, and then they learned the Sunnah.) Then the Prophet told us about the lifting of amanah and said: (One would sleep and amanah would be lifted from his heart, and a faint dark trace would remain in its place. Then he would sleep again and amanah would lifted from his heart and it will leave a trace like a blister, like an ember that you roll down your foot and it swells and you see it puff up but there is nothing inside. And so people would sell and buy with hardly anyone being trustworthy until it will be said: “Among the children of so and so is a trustworthy man,” until it will be said about a man: “How strong he is! How handsome and eloquent he is! How wise he is!” and there is no grain of iman in his heart)

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (إِنَّ الأَمانَةَ نَزَلَتْ في جَذْرِ قُلوبِ الرِّجالِ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ القُرْآنُ فَعَلِموا مِنَ القُرْآنِ وَعَلِموا مِنَ السُّنَّةِ) ثُمَّ حَدَّثَنا عَنْ رَفْعِ الأَمانَةِ قال: (يَنامُ الرَّجُلُ النَّوْمَةَ فَتُقْبَضُ الأَمانَةُ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ فَيَظَلُّ أَثَرُها مِثْلَ الوَكْتِ ثُمَّ يَنامُ النَّوْمَةَ فَتُقْبَضُ الأَمانَةُ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ فَيَظَلُّ أَثَرُها مِثْلَ المَجْلِ كَجَمْرٍ دَحْرَجْتَهُ عَلى رِجْلِكَ فَنَفِطَ فَتَراهُ مُنْتَبِرًا وَلَيْسَ فيهِ شَيْئٌ فَيُصْبِحُ النَّاسُ يَتَبايَعونَ لا يَكادُ أَحَدٌ يُؤَدِّي الأَمانَةَ حَتَّى يُقالَ إِنَّ في بَني فُلانٍ رَجُلاً أَمينًا حَتّى يُقالَ لِلرَّجُل ما أجْلَدَهُ ما أظْرَفَهُ ما أعْقَلَهُ وَما في قَلْبِهِ حَبَّةُ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ إيمانٍ)
