I’d love to see the research of how the total impact of Covid-19 and all other bad headlines are having on the human need to want to remember things. So many of us are losing things in plain sight. We’ve grow accustom to setting things aside. To one day get back to. To put it in places where you know you’ll remember but when you get there it’s hidden in plain sight. On this podcast episode we’re putting focus on more than physical objects. Hidden in plain site includes our personal thoughts, our futures, dreams and whatever else we should be putting focus on but can’t seem to locate the proper strings to run the puppet show. Our hearts can feel the presence of something in need but it’s our eyes that can’t seem to lock in on the shape of the expected. I write about this because it feels safe. For most of us it’s difficult to take aim at the tougher questions so we set them aside believing a much stronger day is the requirement. And when you get there. The thoughts are hidden in plain sight. It’s like playing a game of Invisible Tag. You’re getting warmer. Now cold. Hotter. Hotter. Nope now cold. The imaginations that which we all hold is flooded with attempts to remember only to bring up other things that should’ve been covered long before this moment. There’s a 31% increase in American divorces since March 2020. Those struggling the most are the newlyweds. Research shows they’ve not endured enough experience with life’s everyday challenges to withstand the pressure of the expectations put upon them by governments and science. Hidden in plain sight can easily be compared to the verbal battle grounds where a simple indifference has uncovered everything on the planet gone wrong without ever locating a solution for what brought you to the negative source of energy. Being consumed by an object we can’t see is a moment that can’t be controlled. My Master in Martial Arts would sit with me asking, “If you could control it. What would be your outcome? How much energy are you putting into gripping the right answer? How will you know if its right? If you have no way of accessing true control. Move forward.” In the seconds I penned that thought out in my daily writing. A sense of control appeared on the one time blank page. Somehow we've entered the Fall of 2020 leaving no footprints in the sand. As if to being carried. Lifted above something much bigger than happily ever after. Led across an open field of experiences that words still can't explain. Yet there's emotion. Not always the type you'd like to put on display. The struggle to play it forward. So we have agreed to be carried. To trust in the keeper of the steps not always perfectly balanced. But we hold in our grip more than a robe of belief. It's the willingness to be present in an age where all things have changed. Do all you can not to become hidden in plain sight.
