We're coming back at ya with three more battles on this episode! First up is the battle of Honey Springs on July 17th, 1863 which was the largest confrontation between the north and south in the state of Oklahoma. It was also unique in that the battle was made up mostly of African American and Native American troops, which was a first. Up next we have the Second Battle of Fort Wagner on July 18th, where a second attempt to capture Fort Wagner failed. This is most notable for the involvement of the 54th Massachusetts that became the focus of the movie "Glory" We end the episode with the Second Battle of Charleston Harbor or the Siege of Charleston Harbor on July 18th-September 7th. After being repulsed twice at Fort Wagner the Union decides to siege Charleston Harbor and bombard the fort for 60 days before the Confederates finally abandon the fort.
