A group of leading retailers were welcomed to Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) and the greater South East region this week as part of its North American Retail Technology Event for 2019.

The group of buyers from across the US and Canada spent their visit with a number of companies to see their innovative products and services firsthand. These include hearing about new footfall technology for city centres, understanding the emotion of the consumer and gets a broader look at the future of the retail sector.

Enterprise Ireland’s Martin Corkery joined me in studio to outline what was up for discussion.
