AnitaB.org’s Grace Hopper Celebration 2022 (GHC), happening September 20-23 in Orlando, brings together thousands of women and non-binary technologists from around the world to learn about their industry, gain career guidance, and meet people who could change their life. AnitaB.org’s President and CEO, Brenda Darden Wilkerson shares with Jeanne her vision for this year’s first in-person gathering in three years, and how GHC helps people find their community. Jeanne also talks with her co-host Shreya Krishnan about what they’ll be doing during the three day celebration and how they’ll showcase the diversity of the tech world.

Brenda Darden Wilkerson is an advocate for access, opportunity, and social justice for underrepresented communities in technology. She currently serves as the President and CEO of AnitaB.org, an organization that connects, inspires, and strives for greater equality for women technologists in business, academia, and government. She founded the original Computer Science for All program, building computer science classes into the curriculum for every student in the Chicago Public Schools, and serving as the inspiration for the Obama administration’s national CS For All initiatives.
