Our larynx switches through so many modes in response to our emotional intentions every single day. Yet, we somehow struggle to bring those flexible coordinations into our singing. This episode will discuss how to encourage intention-based larygneal coordinations, and how they can help a singer make singing more authentic, exciting, and organic. We will listen to examples from Manon and identify intention based laryngeal coordinations in the singing of Lucia Popp, Montserrat Caballé, Beverly Sills, and Mirella Freni.
