Louise Smith’s earliest recollection of singing and playing the piano was around the age of four. She began playing for the Sunday school Choir at age seven and the church service at nine. She has been a composer since the age of 11.
She has traveled the eastern and mid-western United States and California singing and exhorting the gospel. She has shared the stage with such greats as Lee Williams, MELVIN Williams, Richard Smallwood, John P Kee, Donnie Harper and the New Jersey Mass Choir, Helen Baylor and Babbie Mason to name a few. Many have compared Louise’s sound to Roberta Flack, Anita Baker, Patty Paige, Ann Murray, Sarah Vaughan, Tramaine D. Hawkins, and Dannibelle Hall.
She is married to Linton J Smith. They have eight children and 14 grandchildren. They reside in Columbia, South Carolina.
