Our judgements are not true and never have been true. Jesus points out in the Course that "in no situation do you perceive your own best interest," and "everything is for your own best interest." It is a fundamental perceptual problem to break everything into situations. We can control the direction of our thinking and have it aligned with the Holy Spirit. In that lies our salvation, joy and happiness.
