John is an award-winning author, music historian and recipient of the Association for Recorded Sound Collections Award for Excellence. He has collaborated on books with artists such as Randy Bachman, Steppenwolf’s John Kay and The Byrds Chris Hillman to name a few, and has researched and written a total of 19 music biographies and many articles about the Canadian music scene.
