2008 - Ramsey family cleared through touch DNA
In 2008, the Ramsey family was exonerated through the use of touch DNA technology, leading to a letter of apology from the Boulder authorities. However, despite this development, doubts and public perception persisted.
Over the years that followed, the family has remained steadfast in their pursuit of justice. In 2015, John Ramsey once again engaged in a conversation with Barbara Walters to revisit the details of the case.
The subsequent year saw Burke, JohnBenét's brother, granting an interview to Dr Phil, vehemently asserting his innocence.
In his relentless quest to uncover the truth behind his daughter's tragic fate, JonBenét's father has consistently urged Colorado authorities to conduct new and more comprehensive DNA tests. Last year, he delivered a speech at CrimeCon, an annual weekend gathering for true crime enthusiasts, authors, and investigators.
