Josué 1: Dos acciones que afirman la bendición en tu hogar.

Josué 1:5‭-‬9 RVA2015:
Nadie te podrá hacer frente en todos los días de tu vida. Como estuve con Moisés, estaré contigo; no te dejaré ni te desampararé. Esfuérzate y sé valiente, porque tú harás que este pueblo tome posesión de la tierra que juré a sus padres que les daría. Solamente esfuérzate y sé muy valiente, para cuidar de cumplir toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés te mandó. No te apartes de ella ni a la derecha ni a la izquierda, para que tengas éxito en todo lo que emprendas. Nunca se aparte de tu boca este libro de la Ley; más bien, medita en él de día y de noche, para que guardes y cumplas todo lo que está escrito en él. Así tendrás éxito y todo te saldrá bien. ¿No te he mandado que te esfuerces y seas valiente? No temas ni desmayes, porque el SEÑOR tu Dios estará contigo dondequiera que vayas.

El siguiente libro especial que vamos a estudiar es el de Josué.
La primera mitad de este libro nos llevará por las excitantes historias de la conquista de los reinos de Canaán; la forma milagrosa tan hermosa en que Dios ayudó al ejército de Israel a conquistar enemigos mucho más poderosos.
En la segunda parte vamos a ver la forma en que esas tierras fueron repartidas entre las diferentes tribus de Israel.

El personaje principal es Josué, quien tomó el lugar de Moisés como líder supremo elegido por Dios, general del ejército, juez y profeta del pueblo de Israel. El que escuchaba la voz de Dios y el pueblo obedecía.
Josué también es una figura del Mesías. Josué en hebreo es Yehoshua, que significa Dios Salva. El mismo significado de Yeshua, que es el nombre hebreo Jesús.

Hoy quiero que reflexionemos en las palabras más impactantes de este capítulo y del inicio del liderazgo de Josué. Tal vez la frase más poderosa y más reconocida en la vida de Josué fue con la que Moisés presentó a Josué como líder ante el pueblo diciéndole: Esfuérzate y sé muy valiente.
En este capítulo Josué se encuentra en un estado emocional muy fuerte porque se encontraba solo, su líder Moisés ya no estaba con él; Dios mismo le dijo que Moisés ya murió y que era su turno de levantarse como el nuevo guía.

Imagínese el conflicto interno que tenía Josué al ver que su gran líder, su mentor, su padre espiritual ya no estaba ahí para guiarlo. Realmente el espacio que debía llenar Josué era muy grande, y en ese momento tuvo dudas si el pueblo realmente lo iba a seguir, especialmente porque era un pueblo muy vulnerable a las revueltas en actos de rebeldía.
Sin embargo, ¡el Señor lo afirmó recordándole que aunque Moisés ya no estaba en la tierra para guiarlos, él debía levantarse, ser fuerte y valiente, sin temor alguno porque el Señor estaría con él en todo momento y en todo lugar!

¡Moisés, antes de morir, lo animó a que se esfuerce y sea valiente; el Señor le dijo 3 veces seguidas lo mismo, y el pueblo reunido lo anima con las mismas palabras!
Se le garantizó el éxito total en todo lo que emprendiera si él permanecía fiel cumpliendo los mandamientos de Dios.
Así que, si deseamos que todo nos salga bien, debemos cumplir los mandamientos del Señor. No podemos tomar la promesa del verso 9 sin antes poner en práctica el verso 8.
Deseo con todo mi corazón que tú y yo tomemos este principio bíblico, que sigamos los pasos de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, cumpliendo sus mandamientos, y que nos esforcemos sin desmayar. De esta manera veremos cómo Dios hará prosperar nuestro camino y todo saldrá bien tanto para nosotros como para cada miembro de nuestra familia.

Joshua 1: Two actions that affirm the blessing in your home.

Joshua 1:5-9:
No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

The next special book we are going to study is that of Joshua.
The first half of this book will take us through the exciting stories of the conquest of the kingdoms of Canaan; the beautiful miraculous way God helped Israel's army conquer far more powerful enemies.
In the second part we will see how these lands were distributed among the different tribes of Israel.

The main character is Joshua, who took the place of Moses as supreme leader, chosen by God, general of the army, judge and prophet of the people of Israel. The one who listened to the voice of God and the people obeyed.
Joshua is also a figure of the Messiah. Joshua in Hebrew is Yehoshua, which means God saves. The same meaning of Yeshua, which is the Hebrew name of Jesus.

Today I want us to reflect on the most impressive words of this chapter and the beginning of Joshua's leadership. Perhaps the most powerful and most recognized phrase in the life of Joshua was with which Moses presented Joshua as a leader before the people saying: Be strong and be very brave.
In this chapter Joshua is in a very strong emotional state because he was alone, his leader Moses was no longer with him; God Himself told him that Moses had already died and that it was his turn to rise as the new guide.

Imagine the internal conflict that Joshua had when he saw that his great leader, his mentor, his spiritual father was no longer there to guide him. Actually, the space that Joshua had to fill was very large, and at that moment he had doubts if the people were really going to follow him, especially because it was a people very vulnerable to revolts in acts of rebellion.
However, the Lord affirmed him by reminding that although Moses was no longer on earth to guide them, he must rise up, be strong and courageous, without fear because the Lord would be with him at all times and in all places!

Moses, before he died, encouraged him to strive and be brave; the Lord told him the same thing 3 times in a row, and the gathered people encouraged him with the same words!
He was guaranteed total success in everything he undertook if he remained faithful in keeping God's commandments.
So, if we want everything to go well for us, we must keep the commandments of the Lord. We cannot take the promise of verse 9 without first putting verse 8 into practice.
I wish with all my heart that you and I take this biblical principle, that we follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ, fulfilling His commandments, and that we strive without giving up. In this way we will see how God will make our path prosper and everything will turn out well for us as well as for each member of our family.
