Josué 10: ¡Saca a esos reyes y no los dejes entrar!

Josué 10:7-19:
Josué subió de Gilgal con toda la gente de guerra y todos los hombres valientes, y el SEÑOR dijo a Josué: —No tengas temor de ellos, porque yo los he entregado en tu mano. Ninguno de ellos podrá resistir delante de ti.
Después de subir toda la noche desde Gilgal, Josué cayó sobre ellos de repente. El SEÑOR los turbó delante de Israel y los hirió con gran mortandad en Gabaón. Los persiguió por el camino que sube a Bet-jorón y los hirió hasta Azeca y Maqueda. Y sucedió que cuando iban huyendo de los israelitas por la bajada de Bet-jorón, el SEÑOR arrojó desde el cielo grandes piedras sobre ellos, hasta Azeca; y murieron. Fueron muchos más los que murieron a causa de las piedras del granizo, que aquellos a quienes los hijos de Israel mataron a espada.
Entonces Josué habló al SEÑOR el día en que el SEÑOR entregó a los amorreos ante los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los israelitas: “¡Sol, detente sobre Gabaón; y tú, luna, sobre el valle de Ajalón!”. Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró, hasta que el pueblo se hubo vengado de sus enemigos. ¿No está escrito esto en el libro de Jaser? El sol se detuvo en medio del cielo, y no se apresuró a ponerse casi un día entero. Nunca hubo un día semejante ni antes ni después de aquel día, cuando el SEÑOR escuchó la voz de un hombre; porque el SEÑOR combatía por Israel. Luego Josué, y todo Israel con él, volvió al campamento en Gilgal.
Los cinco reyes huyeron y se escondieron en la cueva de Maqueda. Y le fue dicho a Josué que los cinco reyes habían sido hallados escondidos en la cueva de Maqueda. Entonces Josué dijo: —Hagan rodar grandes piedras a la entrada de la cueva y pongan hombres junto a ella, para que los guarden. Pero ustedes, no se detengan, sino persigan a sus enemigos y hiéranles la retaguardia. No los dejen entrar en sus ciudades, porque el SEÑOR su Dios los ha entregado en su mano.

Este es uno de los eventos bíblicos más sorprendentes que se encuentran en la Biblia. El Señor ve que cinco reyes se juntaron para pelear contra Gabaón por haber hecho pacto con Israel, y ellos llamaron a Josué para que los defendiera.
Josué sale al encuentro de estos reyes amorreos y los ataca porque ¡el Señor le confirmó que se los daría en sus manos!
La batalla fue tan larga que ya estaba anocheciendo y Josué sabía que en la noche ellos podían huir. Era vital la luz del día para poderlos vencer y que no se escaparan los reyes.
En ese momento, Josué hizo una oración que nadie había hecho. Pidió que el sol y la luna se detuvieran, y ¡Dios hizo el milagro de extenderle la luz del día para que pudieran detener a sus enemigos! Humanamente es imposible, pero ¡para Dios no hay nada imposible!

Quiero que miremos la estrategia de guerra de Josué. Él les dijo que no dejaran entrar a los reyes a sus ciudades porque el Señor se los entregó en sus manos. Ese es un momento crucial para la victoria, pues un rey destronado y lejos de la protección de la ciudad es un rey derrotado!
Igualmente, debemos descubrir la causa de un problema y atacar de raíz. Cuando descubres alguna clase de mal que esté haciendo daño a tu familia, en ese momento debes identificarlo y no dejarlo regresar.
Nuestro Señor Jesús enseñó este principio espiritual en Marcos 3:27: “Ninguno puede entrar en la casa de un hombre fuerte y saquear sus bienes, si antes no le ata, y entonces podrá saquear su casa.”
¡Debemos atar al hombre fuerte!
Si es un sentimiento de odio que cada vez que lo recuerdas se convierte en un tropiezo, hay que desecharlo. Una enemistad con alguien debemos resolverla. Pregúntate qué clase de rey es el que está dominando el territorio que debes conquistar, identificalo y no lo dejes volver a entrar! Envidia, enemistad, brujería, ira, lujuria, etc., cualquier cosa que sea un tropiezo para el desarrollo de un hogar saludable, en paz y armonía.
¡Tú puedes hacerlo en el nombre de Jesucristo! Dios te revelará el rey que hay que destronar, hazlo con valor y de forma decisiva no lo dejes volver a entrar.

Joshua 10: Get those kings out and don't let them in!

Joshua 10:7-19:
So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor. And the Lord said to Joshua, “Do not fear them, for I have delivered them into your hand; not a man of them shall stand before you.” Joshua therefore came upon them suddenly, having marched all night from Gilgal. So the Lord routed them before Israel, killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, chased them along the road that goes to Beth Horon, and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah. And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the Lord cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.
Then Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; and Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.”
So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the people had revenge upon their enemies.
Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day. And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel.
Then Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp at Gilgal. But these five kings had fled and hidden themselves in a cave at Makkedah. And it was told Joshua, saying, “The five kings have been found hidden in the cave at Makkedah.”
So Joshua said, “Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to guard them. And do not stay there yourselves, but pursue your enemies, and attack their rear guard. Do not allow them to enter their cities, for the Lord your God has delivered them into your hand.”

This is one of the most amazing biblical events found in the Bible. The Lord sees that five kings came together to fight against Gibeon for having made a covenant with Israel, and they called Joshua to defend them.
Joshua goes out to meet these Amorite kings and attacks them because the Lord confirmed that He would give them into his hands!
The battle was so long that it was already getting dark and Joshua knew that at night they could flee. Daylight was vital to be able to defeat them and for the kings not to escape.
At that moment, Joshua did a prayer that no one had done before. He asked for the sun and moon to stand still, and God performed the miracle of extending daylight to them so that they could stop their enemies! Humanly it is impossible, but for God there is nothing impossible!

I want us to look at Joshua's war strategy. He told them not to let the kings enter their cities because the Lord gave them into their hands. This is a crucial moment for victory, for a dethroned king far from the protection of the city is a defeated king! Similarly, we must discover the cause of a problem and attack the root. When you discover some kind of evil that is harming your family, at that moment you must identify it and not let it return.
Our Lord Jesus taught this spiritual principle in Mark 3:27: “No one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. And then he will plunder his house.”
We must bind the strong man!
If it is a feeling of hate that every time you remember it becomes a stumble, you have to discard it. A feud with someone must be resolved. Ask yourself what kind of king is the one who is dominating the territory you must conquer, identify him and do not let him enter again! Envy, enmity, witchcraft, anger, lust, etc., anything that is an obstacle to the development of a healthy home, in peace and harmony.
You can do it in the name of Jesus Christ! God will reveal to you the king that must be dethroned, do it with courage and decisively do not let him enter again.
