In this livestream episode of Mysteries with a History, Cristina Gomez and Jimmy Church look into the alleged crash of a UFO in Kingman, Arizona, in May of 1953.
This case was first brought to the public’s attention by Raymond Fowler in June, 1973. Mr. Fowler had obtained evidence from a witness he referred to as 'Fritz Werner', later identified as Arthur G. Stancil. Stancil graduated from Ohio University in 1949 and was first employed by Air Material Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio as a mechanical engineer on testing Air Force aircraft engines.
According to the account, the UFO crash occurred about eight miles northeast of the Kingman Airport, and subsequently Government officials sent a team of about 40 scientists to the crash site to investigate.
This mystery is one which has parallels in the alleged Roswell UFO crash and the UFO crash at Corona among other alleged events from the same time period where there were crash retrievals of UFOs supposedly conducted by the US Military.
UFO Researcher Preston Dennett stated, “The object was described as metallic, 30 feet wide and three and a half feet high, oval-shaped with portholes,” he says. “Inside were two to four, four-foot tall humanoids, deceased according to most sources, with large eyes and wearing metallic suits.”
The object was quickly scooped up and taken to either Area 51 air base in Nevada or Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, Dennett says.
