Kyla is a professional circus performer and instructor in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area who currently lives out of a van with her husband and their pet dog, Gunner. Kyla and her husband were forced to move out of their apartment rental at the end of 2021 when their landlord decided to sell their unit. Because of prior loans and inflation during Covid, Kyla and her husband have been unsuccessful at finding a new rental due to their poor credit. The catch? Kyla and her husband both make above minimum wage, making them unqualified for financial assistance. Kyla has been documenting her entire journey of living in her car on TikTok where she has amassed a community of 30K+ followers.
