Story Transcript:

Ga: Lá amháin, bhí triúr cairde, Aoife, Cillian agus Fiona, ar cuairt ag Aillte an Mhothair.
En: One day, there were three friends, Aoife, Cillian, and Fiona, visiting the Cliffs of Moher.

Ga: Áit iontach álainn le radharcanna breathnú amach thar an Atlantach.
En: It's a wonderful place with breathtaking views over the Atlantic.

Ga: Bhí geansaí gorm Aoife, a grá geal aici ó thuras roimhe seo go hÉirinn.
En: Aoife was wearing a blue sweater, which she loved from a previous trip to Ireland.

Ga: Ba bhreá léi an geansaí sin a chaitheamh. Bhí siad go léir i ngiobal ag baint suilt as lá breá grianmhar.
En: She really wanted to wear that sweater. They were all wrapped up, enjoying a beautiful sunny day.

Ga: Ag breathnú amach thar na haillte, stad Aoife in aice le Cillian chun pictiúr a ghlacadh.
En: While gazing out over the cliffs, Aoife stopped next to Cillian to take a picture.

Ga: Níorbh fhada go raibh gaoth mhór ann.
En: It wasn't long before a strong gust of wind came.

Ga: D'éirigh an ghaoth le scairf dheas Aoife agus chuir sé isteach i zipper mála droma Cillian!
En: The wind caught Aoife's scarf and got stuck in Cillian's backpack zipper!

Ga: "A ó! Mo scairf!" a lig Aoife béic as.
En: "Oh no! My scarf!" Aoife shouted.

Ga: Bhí Cillian gan aird, ag breathnú ar an bhfarraige. Ach nuair a mhothaigh sé go bhfuil rud éigin cearr, d'iompaigh sé thart go tobann.
En: Cillian, unaware, was looking out at the sea. But when he felt something wrong, he suddenly turned around.

Ga: "Níl sé seo ceart," arsa Cillian, ag iarraidh an scairf a scaoileadh.
En: "This isn't right," said Cillian, trying to release the scarf.

Ga: Phreab Aoife chun cabhrú leis, ach an níos mó a tharraing siad, is ea is deacra a bhí sé.
En: Aoife jumped to help, but the more they pulled, the harder it became.

Ga: Fiona, ag gáire a cuid cinn dí, tháinig chun cabhrú leis an mbeirt atá sáinnithe.
En: Fiona, laughing at the situation, came to help the two struggling ones.

Ga: "Bain triail as é a ardú suas! Nó, b'fhéidir, tú féin a ísliú síos!" molann Fiona, agus í fós ag gáire.
En: "Try lifting it up! Or maybe you should lower it down!" suggested Fiona, still laughing.

Ga: Chuir siad na moltaí i ngníomh lena n-iarrachtaí é a dhíscaoileadh, ag imeartas tugann siad tarraingt is scaoilte.
En: They put the suggestions into action, trying to lift and release it, each of them trying not to tear the scarf or break the zipper.

Ga: Faoi dheireadh, tar éis go leor stró agus tairní, thuig Aoife gur fhéidir go n-oibreodh moladh Fiona.
En: Finally, after a lot of pulling and tugging, Aoife realized that Fiona's suggestion might work.

Ga: "B'fhéidir go gcabhraíonn sé má stad muid ag tarraingt in éadan a chéile," arsa Aoife go ciúin.
En: "Maybe it helps if we stop pulling against each other," said Aoife quietly.

Ga: Thug siad breather. Ansin, leis an dá lámh, thóg Aoife agus Cillian an scarf agus an mála droma de réir a chéile.
En: They took a breather. Then, with both hands, Aoife and Cillian took the scarf and the backpack off, one by one.

Ga: Le croí éadrom is gáire, fuair siad réiteach! D'éirigh an scairf saor faoi dheireadh, slán sábháilte, agus gan gíog ná míog as an zipper.
En: With light hearts and laughter, they found a solution! Finally, the scarf was free, safe, and the zipper remained intact.

Ga: Bhí gach duine faoiseamh mór nuair a fheictear an scairf álainn slán sábháilte i láimh Aoife agus an mála droma Cillian díghlasáilte.
En: Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the beautiful, safe scarf in Aoife's hand and Cillian's backpack securely fastened.

Ga: "Buíochas le Dia," a dúirt Aoife, ag déanamh comhartha na croise. "Agus tá buíochas mór agat, a Fhiona, as do chuidiú."
En: "Thank God," said Aoife, making the sign of the cross. "And thank you very much, Fiona, for your help."

Ga: Rinne Cillian gáire mór. "Ní dhéanfaidh mé dearmad ar an lá nuair a bhí mo mhála droma ina champa troid!"
En: Cillian laughed heartily. "I won't forget the day when my backpack was in a wrestling match!"

Ga: Le gáire agus magadh, lean siad ar aghaidh lena gcuid eachtraíochta, ag aoibhinn as an lá álainn cois farraige ag Aillte an Mhothair, anois le scéal nua greannmhar le hinsint agus cuimhne bhuan i gcroíthe acu.
En: With laughter and teasing, they continued with their adventure, enjoying the beautiful day by the sea at the Cliffs of Moher, now with a new amusing story to tell and a lasting memory in their hearts.
