Stand Up Comic Ricky Ramos tells Dan Bublitz Jr about the time he bombed because his material made the crowd uncomfortable. That was before he learned to make the crowd comfortable before you slam it into 5th gear with your edgier material.
Ricky is an edgy guy - a former gang member, parolee, and drug addict, he has an authentic dark side from which he draws his core material. Since the beginning, he’s turned into a more well-rounded comic and showrunner. Ricky and Dan jam about how to relate your jokes to the crowd, putting the room at ease, how to make your material relatable, tips for producing shows, and much much more!

Ricky Ramos is a Colorado Native who was born and raised in Denver. Ricky talks about his endeavors growing up with gangs, drug addiction, and incarceration along with the growing pains of becoming a family man. Ricky is a nationally touring comedian based out of the Denver Comedy Works and the Denver Improv who has opened & featured for comedians such as Joey Medina (Latin Kings of Comedy), Kool Bubba Ice (Def Comedy Jam), Mark Christopher Lawrence (Two-Time Emmy Nominated Comedian), and Caleb Synan (Comedy Central). He has also been showcased at numerous festivals including the Sixth City and Boulder Comedy Festival. Ricky is daily becoming one of the patriarchs of the Denver Latino Comedy Scene, starting Denver's first-ever bilingual comedy room. Not to mention his television appearances on Telemundo & 9news Hispanic Heritage Month. Last but not least his resume as a concert host includes Caskey, King Iso, Futuristic & Krizz Kaliko.
