Ghiya Rushidat is an acclaimed music composer with a unique approach to creating immersive, intense, and sensorial soundtracks. She began learning piano when she was only four. She performed in more than 150 concerts across the Middle East and Europe.

In Los Angeles, Ghiya conducts orchestras, including the American Victory Orchestra. This came after she completed numerous successful projects. Her first composition, Hollywood film, Pen of Mirrors, was in 2014. Subsequent productions included The Heart of Amilcar Cabral in 2016 and Cecilia, which was released in October 2018.

Presently, Ghiya continues to write original music for groups across the world. So far, she has recorded with big orchestras in Budapest, LA, and San Francisco. She has also made compositions for royal events across the Middle East.

Up to date, one of her most notable achievements is her piece, Fly and Flow Ghiya was accepted to the prestigious Sundance composers lab as one of the eight qualifying composers out of 800 applicants. While there, she was mentored by Oscar-winning composers in Hollywood. One of them was Christopher Young, who’s behind the popular scores for Spiderman, and The Exorcist.

Ghiya’s work is, however, not limited to TV and film— she has also worked on numerous documentaries, video games, and plays. Ghiya recently released her first video game music album, All the Imaginary Video Games I Scored.

Her interests outside music include neuroscience and philanthropy. Her art bridges the gap that has long existed between the Middle East and the Western world. Her music, which has been described by many as explosive, truly inspired, and beautiful has been performed internationally and accepted across multiple platforms.
