A ceremony and commemorative event is being held at 1pm on July 1st in Halifax. It will begin in the south end of the city in a space that was recently renamed Peace and Friendship Park. The two organizers of the event say it's a way to honour those who were recently found in unmarked graves at the sites of former Residential Schools across the country.
