Tinnitus is not considered to be a disease but is a reflection of something being in one’s ear and brain. It could be due to:
  • Hearing loss
  • Trauma to the hearing apparatus
  • Certain drugs such as aspirin and quinine
  • Brain tumor
  • Meniere’s disease
  • Infection, fluid in the middle ear
  • Exposure to loud noise
  • Aneurysms
  • Allergies
  • Advanced age
  • Low thyroid levels
  • Depression
  • Wax in ear
  • Stress
  • Foreign body
Ringing in one’s ear can be due to simple blockage of the ear canal or various ear conditions, infections, otosclerosis or Eustachian tube blockage caused due to allergy or virus.There are many toxic causes of tinnitus, such as heavy metal poisoning, alcohol, antibiotics, quinine, and especially aspirin.Other causes:
  • Arteriosclerosis
  • High blood pressure
  • Anemia
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Nerve injury due to noises or pressure
  • Various diseases of the nervous system

GraphitesThis medication helps treat hissing, ringing, roaring or clucking sounds in one’s ears. Acute pressure in the inner ear can also be treated.6. LycopodiumThis helps cure the over-sensitiveness of hearing. It also helps treat roaring, humming as well as whizzing in one’s ears.7. Calcarea carbonicaThis can be used for treating hardness of hearing, singing, and roaring or crackling sounds in one’s ears. This helps cure pulsating in the ears as well as purulent, offensive discharge from the ears.
