Doesn't everyone have a good Lord Byron story? Well, I do but the deeper merits and myth of Lord Byron (George Gordon) 1788–1824 expresses a unique dynamism and self-revelation he had.

Byron openly sought freedom for oppressed people everywhere and lived in a way that captivated the Western mind and heart as few writers have, stamping upon 19th-century letters, arts, politics, even clothing styles, his image and name as the embodiment of real Romanticism.

Lord Byron was considered the most flamboyant and notorious of the major English Romantic poets, George Gordon, whom we know as Lord Byron, was likewise the most fashionable poet of the early 1800s. He created an immensely popular Romantic hero—defiant, melancholy, haunted by secret guilt—for which, to many, he seemed the model. What do we individually model?
