Louise and the Liverpool Legends promote Help Keep Music Alive,an organization that raises money and awareness for school music and art departments around the country. As part of the program Liverpool Legends will perform with over 300 top music students from four high schools from across the United States with proceeds from the event going to The SYTA Youth Foundation.
Louise’s involvement in Liverpool Legends makes them the ONLY Beatles tribute band with a direct family link to the original Fab Four.
“Each member of the group is so close to the originals that I often feel like I’m transported back in time with the lads. These are exactly the kind of fun-loving, quality musicians that my brother George would have loved to hang out with,” says Harrison.
Liverpool Legends were chosen over every other Beatles tribute band in the world by top television and film producer Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI, Pirates of The Caribbean, National Treasure) to portray the band that changed the course of music and the world forever. They received national attention when they re-created The Beatles famed 1966 concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Liverpool Legends headlined at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., in front of 68,000 people (an audience larger than The Beatles performed for at Shea Stadium!) and continue touring the U.S. and abroad, including a recent sold-out performance for 16,000 people at Arena Ciudad de Mexico City.
ABOUT LOUISE HARRISON Louise Harrison was born in Liverpool, England, the first child and only daughter of Harold and Louise Harrison. Her youngest brother, George, was also the youngest of the four Liverpool lads known as The Beatles. During 1964 and 1965 Louise, living in Illinois, found herself writing and broadcasting daily Beatles reports nationwide, due to public demand for news of The Beatles. Her distinctive voice with its British accent is immediately recognized by Beatles People all over the world.
Her memoir My Kid Brother’s Band: a.k.a The Beatles released in 2014 and was met with wide acclaim. She recounts their rise from Liverpool, sweeping British and European popularity, and that fateful first broadcast on The Ed Sullivan Show. Louise takes readers on a journey through the years, touching on emotional, spiritual, and professional landmarks along the way. Beatles fans everywhere won’t want to miss this intimate portrait of life inside one Beatles family.
"…Harrison has an unusual angle for her Beatlemaniac memoirs: she was living in America when her brother hit it big…" – Rolling Stone
