Story Transcript:

Ar: كانت الشمس تسطع من خلال نوافذ المقصف المدرسي، مرسلة أشعتها الذهبية لتضيء وجوه الطلاب.
En: The sun was shining through the windows of the school cafeteria, sending its golden rays to illuminate the students' faces.

Ar: كان المكان مزدحماً، الجميع يتحدثون ويضحكون فيما بينهم.
En: The place was crowded, with everyone talking and laughing among themselves.

Ar: وسط هذا الضجيج، كان هناك شاب يسمى عمر، يقف في زاوية ويحمل بين يديه مجموعة من أوراق اللعب.
En: Amidst this noise, there was a young man named Omar, standing in a corner holding a set of playing cards in his hands.

Ar: عمر كان طالباً في السنة الثانية من المدرسة الثانوية.
En: Omar was a second-year high school student.

Ar: كان يحب الألعاب السحرية وكان يرغب في إبهار زميلته ليلى.
En: He loved magic tricks and wanted to impress his classmate Leila.

Ar: ليلى كانت جالسة مع بعض صديقاتها، تتحدث وتضحك.
En: Leila was sitting with some of her friends, talking and laughing.

Ar: نظر عمر إلى ليلى، وقرر أنه سيجذب انتباهها بعرض سحري مميز.
En: Omar looked at Leila and decided that he would catch her attention with a special magic show.

Ar: كانت لديه خدعة جديدة: بطاقة تختفي في الهواء.
En: He had a new trick: a card that disappears in the air.

Ar: بدأ عمر في التحضير بتوتر.
En: Omar began to prepare nervously.

Ar: سلط عيونه نحو الطاولة التي تجلس عليها ليلى، ثم اقترب ببطء.
En: He set his eyes on the table where Leila was sitting, then slowly approached.

Ar: عندما كان على وشك البدء، مرر أوراق اللعب بين يديه وكان يبدو متوتراً قليلاً.
En: Just as he was about to start, he passed the playing cards between his hands, looking a bit tense.

Ar: حاول تنفيذ الخدعة، ولكنه أخطأ بشكل مضحك.
En: He attempted the trick, but amusingly failed.

Ar: سقطت الورقة من يده، وبدلاً من أن تختفي بطريقة ساحرة، طارت عبر الهواء كالفراشة الراقصة وسقطت في صحن الحساء أمام أحد الطلاب.
En: The card slipped from his hand, and instead of disappearing magically, it flew through the air like a dancing butterfly and landed in a soup bowl in front of one of the students.

Ar: تفاجأ الجميع وضحكوا بعفوية، بما فيهم ليلى.
En: Everyone was surprised and laughed spontaneously, including Leila.

Ar: جاءت ليلى نحوه ضاحكة، وقالت: "يا عمر، قد تحتاج إلى بعض التمرين، ولكن على الأقل أضحكتنا!".
En: Leila came over to him laughing, and said, "Oh Omar, you might need a bit of practice, but at least you made us laugh!"

Ar: شعر عمر بالحرج في البداية، ولكنه كان سعيداً برؤية ليلى تبتسم.
