Anche se, vabbé, mi rendo conto di essere un po fuori traccia, dato che la mia domanda concerne il concetto di male e non Melkor 😑

Una domanda, corredata da scuse anticipate qualora abbiate già evocato l'episodio seguente : nella trilogia del SdA messa in scena da Jackson, è celebre l'esortazione che Merry e Pipino fanno a Barbalbero quanto alla necessità che quest'ultimo prenda una posizione tra il bene ed il male, insomma la neutralità non è contemplabile, anzi: altro non sarebbe che un'altra faccia del male. Faccio appello ad uno dei vostri ospiti per chiedere se questo concetto è davvero presente nella poetica di Tolkien. Se si, dove potremmo trovarne traccia ? Ho provato a cercare sul SdA (ne Le Due Torri) ma non sono riuscito a trovare nulla di probante (ma forse ho cercato male io).
