My home.

I am Jan. I am seventeen years old. I live in Amsterdam. I live in Amsterdam together with my mother, father and my brother. My brother's name is Max and he is eighteen years old. We play football together. I have been playing football for eight years.

I live in a small house. Houses in Amsterdam are expensive. I sleep in the same room as Max. Our house doesn't have a garden. We do have a balcony. I like my house very much, even though it is small. My neighbourhood is very cosy. I have nice neighbours.

The only disadvantage of my house is that there are many mosquitoes in summer. Other than that, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. When I'm old, I want to keep living in Amsterdam. Preferably in a house like this.

My favourite place in the house is the kitchen. My mother cooks a lot. I like the smell of the kitchen when my mother cooks.

My friends also live near me. Their names are Willem and Pieter. I often play football with them.
