In November 1966, two couples in Point Pleasant, West Virginia saw something that shouldn't have had a name yet — a winged, red-eyed humanoid with no visible head, gliding alongside their car at highway speed. Thirteen months later, the Silver Bridge collapsed, killing 46 people, and the sightings stopped almost overnight. Journalist John Keel spent the rest of his life trying to understand what he'd witnessed. But Point Pleasant was never the whole story. The same creature — or something wearing its exact silhouette — has been logged near Fukushima weeks before the 2011 disaster, in the skies over Kyoto the same year, on a cursed rural road in Chile, guarding a bandit's treasure outside Monterrey, and most recently, in an ongoing flap across Chicago with over 160 sightings and no catastrophe to explain them yet. This episode traces the global footprint of the Mothman phenomenon — the folklore, the skeptics, the witnesses who never fully recovered — and asks the question nobody wants a real answer to: what if the warning was always real, and we just keep failing to listen in time?
