mostra másWe're starting off the day with a big event in New Rochelle. The 60th Annual Thanksgiving Parade is happening today, kicking off at 10 am along North Avenue, from Eastchester Road to Bonnefoy Place. This year's Grand Marshal is none other than Ray Rice, the former NFL star who has been recognized for his community service both in New Rochelle and Baltimore. The parade will feature floats, giant balloons, marching bands, and of course, Santa Claus. It's a great way to kick off the holiday season, so grab a spot along North Avenue and enjoy the festivities.
In other news, we don't have any major hiring announcements or new job postings to report today. However, it's worth noting that the holiday season is always a busy time for local businesses, so we may see some temporary hiring in the coming weeks.
Moving on to real estate, we don't have any notable commercial or residential property sales to report today. However, we do want to remind everyone that the holiday season is a great time to get out and explore our local neighborhoods. Take a stroll down North Avenue and check out some of the new shops and restaurants that have opened up in recent months.
From city hall, we want to remind everyone that the New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade is a city tradition that's been going on for 60 years. It's a great way to bring the community together and kick off the holiday season.
As for the weather, it's looking like it's going to be a beautiful day today, with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures. That's perfect weather for getting out and enjoying the parade.
In terms of new business activity, we don't have any major openings or closings to report today. However, we do want to remind everyone that the holiday season is a great time to support local businesses. Consider shopping at some of our local stores or eating at one of our many great restaurants.
Looking ahead to the next few days, we have a few community events worth mentioning. Tonight, there's a Thanksgiving Eve celebration in Glens Falls, featuring live music from local country acts. And of course, don't forget about the Thanksgiving parade today in New Rochelle.
In local school news, we don't have any major achievements or sports results to report today. However, we do want to remind everyone that our local schools are always working hard to provide a great education for our kids.
Finally, in terms of crime, we don't have any significant incidents or arrests to report today. However, we do want to remind everyone to always be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
This has been New Rochelle Local Pulse. We'll see you tomorrow with more local updates.
