Números 8: Moldeados a martillo.

Números 8:1-7:
1 El SEÑOR habló a Moisés diciendo: 2 “Habla a Aarón y dile: ‘Cuando enciendas las lámparas, las siete lámparas deberán alumbrar hacia la parte delantera del candelabro’ ”.
3 Aarón lo hizo así. Encendió las lámparas hacia la parte delantera del candelabro, como el SEÑOR había mandado a Moisés. 4 Esta era la hechura del candelabro: Era de oro modelado a martillo; desde su base hasta sus flores estaba modelado a martillo. Conforme al modelo que el SEÑOR había mostrado a Moisés, así hizo el candelabro.
5 El SEÑOR habló a Moisés diciendo: 6 “Toma a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel y purifícalos. 7 Así harás con ellos para purificarlos: Rocía sobre ellos el agua para la purificación; luego haz que pasen la navaja sobre todo su cuerpo y que laven sus vestiduras. Así serán purificados.

En la primera parte de este capítulo vemos la elaboración de iluminación del candelabro; y en la segunda parte vemos la dedicación de los levitas. No olvides leer todo el capítulo completo para que aprendas acerca de estos temas, especialmente la consagración de los levitas que no leímos hoy.

Quiero que hoy usemos nuestra imaginación, imaginando cómo el artesano,especialista en metales, utilizaba su gran destreza para formar el candelabro sagrado que iría dentro del lugar santo, trayendo iluminación para que el sacerdote pudiera ministrar en la presencia del Señor. Recordemos que este candelabro simboliza la luz de Dios y debía permanecer todo el día y toda la noche encendido, en señal de que la presencia de Dios iluminaba continuamente sus vidas.
Anteriormente hemos estudiado que el candelabro representa a Jesucristo, pues Él es la luz del mundo pero también representa a la iglesia de Jesucristo, o sea, a nosotros los creyentes.
Me llama mucho la atención que este candelabro fue formado por los golpes del martillo.
En el libro de Jeremías encontramos esta declaración. Leamos Jeremías 23:29: "¿No es mi palabra como el fuego y como el martillo que despedaza la roca?, dice el SEÑOR."
Entonces, podemos deducir que nosotros seremos formados, moldeados con la Palabra de Dios para ser un instrumento efectivo en las manos de Dios por medio de Su Palabra.

El oro es un metal muy valioso; y para un uso más valioso e importante debía pasar por este proceso de formación en las manos de un experto, por eso debía ser de una sola pieza, pues el Señor no quiere que seamos varios pedazos ensamblados sino que seamos de una pieza entera. Esto es muy importante porque el Señor quiere que tengamos una firmeza completa, y que seamos puros de arriba hacia abajo, sin añadir alguna otra pieza de otro tipo de metal con diferentes tipos de pureza. Dios quiere que seamos conectados completamente a Él, sin añadiduras, sin pretextos.
También simboliza la unión que debemos tener en Jesús. Como iglesia, debemos estar unidos y ser un solo cuerpo con una sola mente y un solo sentir.
Es importante permitir que el Señor nos moldee con Su Palabra. He conocido muchas personas que quieren seguir los caminos de Dios pero no están dispuestos a seguir los mandamientos del Señor como están escritos.
Podemos dejarnos engañar con nuestras emociones, pretendiendo demostrar al Señor que le amamos pero no cumplimos con sus mandamientos. Jesucristo dijo: "Si me amas,guarda mis mandamientos."
También encargó a los apóstoles a que cuando prediquen el evangelio fueran específicos en enseñar a todo el mundo todas las cosas que Jesús les enseñó.
Así que si sientes que la Palabra llega duro a tu corazón y sientes que es como un martillo que resuena en tu alma, recibe esta Palabra con mansedumbre, ponla en práctica porque, al final, vas a ver que serás moldeado cada día más a la imagen y semejanza de Jesucristo.
Así como nos lo enseñó el apóstol Pablo en Gálatas 4:19: "Hijitos míos, por quienes vuelvo a sufrir dolores de parto hasta que Cristo sea formado en ustedes,..."

Soy tu amigo y hermano Eduardo Rodríguez. Que el Señor Jesús escuche tu oración y te moldee todos los días con el martillo de su Palabra.

Numbers 8: Hammer molded.

Numbers 8:1-7:
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you arrange the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.’ ” And Aaron did so; he arranged the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses. Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its shaft to its flowers it was hammered work. According to the pattern which the Lord had shown Moses, so he made the lampstand.
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: “Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and cleanse them ceremonially. Thus you shall do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purification on them, and let them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

In the first part of this chapter we see the elaboration of lighting of the lampstand; and in the second part we see the dedication of the Levites. Don't forget to read the entire chapter so you can learn about these topics, especially the consecration of the Levites that we didn't read today.

I want us to use our imagination today, imagining how the handicraftsman, a specialist in metals, used his great skill to form the sacred lampstand that would go inside the holy place, bringing lighting so that the priest could minister in the presence of the Lord. Let's remember that this lampstand symbolizes the light of God and should remain lit all day and all night, as a sign that the presence of God continually illuminated their lives.
Previously we have studied that the lampstand represents Jesus Christ, since He is the light of the world but it also represents the church of Jesus Christ, that is, us believers.
I am very struck by the fact that this lampstand was formed by the blows of the hammer. In the book of Jeremiah we find this statement. Let's read Jeremiah 23:29: "“Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?””
So, we can deduce that we will be formed, molded with the Word of God to be an effective instrument in the hands of God through His Word.

Gold is a very valuable metal; and for a more valuable and important use it had to go through this formation process in the hands of an expert, that is why it had to be in one piece, because the Lord does not want us to be several pieces assembled but rather that we be one whole piece. This is very important because the Lord wants us to have a complete firmness, and to be pure from top to bottom, without adding some other piece of another type of metal with different types of purity. God wants us to be completely connected to Him, without additions, without pretexts.
It also symbolizes the union that we must have in Jesus. As a church, we must be united and be one body with one mind and one feeling.
It is important to allow the Lord to mold us with His Word. I have met many people who want to follow God's ways but are not willing to follow the Lord's commandments as they are written.
We can let ourselves be deceived by our emotions, pretending to show the Lord that we love Him but we do not comply with His commandments. Jesus Christ said: "If you love me, keep my commandments."
He also commissioned the apostles when they preached the gospel to be specific in teaching everyone all the things that Jesus taught them.
So if you feel that the Word hits your heart hard and you feel that it is like a hammer that resounds in your soul, receive this Word with meekness, put it into practice because, in the end, you will see that you will be molded more each day to the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.
Just as the apostle Paul taught us in Galatians 4:19: "My little children, for whom I labor again until Christ is formed in you,..."
