The water's in the mid to upper 60s, and it's mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 80s with southwest winds around 15 mph. Tomorrow, rip current risk drops to low with 2 to 3-foot waves under mostly sunny skies.
Heading over to Virginia now, we've got the Accomack-Northampton area sporting a moderate rip current risk today. Surf height at 3 feet, very high UV index, and a mix of sun and showers. Highs in the lower 80s with brisk southwest winds around 20 mph. Friday, the rip current risk decreases to low with around 2-foot waves and sunny conditions.
And for all you beach lovers in Virginia Beach, today offers a low rip current risk with 2 to 3-foot waves and a very high UV index. Expect upper 60s water temp, partly sunny skies, and a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s with southwest winds from 15 to 20 mph. Tomorrow brings more sunshine with around 2-foot waves and mid-80s temps.
Lastly, Outer Banks Currituck is showing a low rip current risk today. 2 to 3-foot waves, very high UV index, and mainly sunny, but keep an eye out for possible showers and storms. Highs in the mid to upper 80s with southwest winds at 15 to 20 mph. Tomorrow, more sun with around 2-foot waves and lower to mid-80s temps.
