NEWSFLASH - POWER BI DOESN'T RUN ON IT'S OWN
Many retail suppliers are beginning to use Power BI as their analytics program of choice, which could be just what they need to help understand their business, but I don't think they have considered the "Total Cost of Ownership", because POWER BI doesn't run on its own.
In this POS Data Minute video (it's actually two minutes), I dive into a number of the hidden costs and effort required to turn your Point-of-Sale data, store master files, and product master files (the retailer / sku combinations) into the data sets that can be imported into your data lake and Power BI.
Ask me how the Krunchbox team can make this a seamless process with our POWER BI integrations, so you can be certain that your three data sets are clean and correct before you begin your analysis in your in-house dashboards...(I forgot to mention you will need to build your own dashboards. :)
