I learned a great lesson when I was younger. Someone was being difficult and I said something ugly about them to another person.
That other person was a dear friend who pulled me aside and said, "You really don't know what they're going through do you? I would tell you but it's not my story to tell, so instead I encourage you to read Romans 2:1-3 the next time you want to judge someone."
OUCH! And double ouch after I read it, "Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?"
That correction helped change my world view.
