Caryn is a former colleague of ours, friend (of Whitney’s for the past 25 years) and the most successful athlete we know. At one point ranked the 4th most successful female rower in the world, Caryn knows a thing or two about success. But what she has to say might surprise you. What is the internal work to find and feel successful? Setting yourself free from resentment and goals that are shoulds vs wants. She is a lawyer, leader within the rowing community, and an experienced public speaker with special focus on teamwork, goal setting, leadership, motivation, and managing change. When Caryn Davies retired from elite competition in 2012, after having won her second Olympic gold medal, this 3-time Olympian had won more Olympic medals than any other American oarswoman. Caryn came out of retirement and trained for the 2020 Olympics, an experience that has deeply informed her definition of success.
