Elifcan’s research focuses on social policy, democratic backsliding, and civil society, and she has been a crucial part of organizing this very podcast. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Political Science from the International Max Planck Research School, and she has been a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Cologne.
