Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning tarot, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards.

About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet.

Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot if you would like to view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Four of Cups, focusing on reversals. First, let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then the meaning when reversed. The Four of Cups upright often represents introspection, withdrawal, and a sense of dissatisfaction. It's a card that shows someone deep in thought, perhaps even missing out on opportunities because they're too focused on what's not working. When reversed, it signals a turning point. It suggests that you're ready to rejoin the world, see things from a fresh perspective, and take advantage of new opportunities that may have been overlooked before. The reversed Four of Cups often indicates a shift from stagnation to action. You may have spent time in deep reflection or been stuck in a rut, but now you're ready to break free from that mindset and engage with new possibilities. Next, let's discuss how to read the Four of Cups reversed in a reading. When the Four of Cups reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign that you're emerging from a period of self-reflection or isolation. You're ready to re-engage with life, and new opportunities that present themselves may be easier to see. This card encourages you to be open to these possibilities and not to let past experiences cloud your judgment. It may also indicate that you've gained a fresh perspective. When you're stuck or disillusioned, the reversed Four of Cups shows you're ready to see things differently and take proactive steps to improve your circumstances. Let's talk about ways to memorize the Four of Cups Reversed. It is helpful to think of a situation in my life that I can tie to the card. For example, my reversed Four of Cups moment, where I emerged from self-reflection and isolation with a new look on life, was after a period of illness. I was in the hospital in my thirties with a virus. I was off work for two months and in the hospital for one month. I was hit like a tonne of bricks, and the road to recovery was slow. I remember during that time, what was playing through my mind was concern about how I would support myself if I couldn't work. I was stuck in unhelpful thoughts, such as being a burden to my loved ones. It was the first time I was sick to this degree, and I went through stages of fear and grief. My Four of Cups Reversed moment was the new perspective of moving from fear to determination. Even though there wasn't much I could do then, there was a clear path to a full recovery, even though it was slow. That change of perspective pulled me out of panic mode and into a mental space of making plans. I was thinking about what I was going to do when I got out of the hospital. This was a more productive way of being, and likely led to a better outcome and recovery. Remember, the key to mastering tarot is practice. As you continue to listen to these three-minute lessons, you'll find that the symbolism of the cards becomes more ingrained in your memory. Thank you for tuning in. Keep practicing and join us for more three-minute lessons to memorize more cards. Your dedication will surely pay off.
