Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning Taro, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. I earn a small referral commission from these links from Amazon.

About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading Tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is my YouTube Channel video for interpreting cards in Three Card Spreads: https://youtu.be/P8En-8-8njk?si=7LIlOsFv9pNZ9iK7 Here is the transcript:
Welcome to the "Memorizing Tarot Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Tarot, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Tarot card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Knight of Swords, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed.
The Knight of Swords upright is driven, determined, and full of energy. He charges forward confidently, embodying ambition and a clear sense of purpose. However, when the Knight of Swords appears reversed, this energy becomes scattered or overly forceful. It suggests a rush to action without careful thought, impatience, or a tendency to act without fully understanding the consequences. The reversed Knight of Swords often signals a need to slow down and think things through. This card serves as a reminder that charging ahead without a plan can lead to unintended obstacles.
So what does that mean when we see the Knight of Swords reversed in a reading?
When the Knight of Swords reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign to step back and slow down. This card suggests that a more measured approach will yield better results. It encourages you to check in with your long-term goals and align your actions with a clear plan. It may also indicate that you feel blocked or frustrated in your progress. The reversed Knight of Swords reminds you that patience is sometimes necessary and that forcing a situation rarely leads to the best outcome.
So, what is the best way to memorize the Knight of Swords in reverse?
Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Knight of Swords moment is when I started Carrie's Closet. That is a perfect example of charging ahead without a plan. I did some planning in 2012 but didn't realize how much capital it took to build a brand. I was good at technology, which led me to e-commerce, and I have been creating online content for the majority of my career. However, I knew little about fashion or marketing. The whole journey was a rollercoaster. A lot of fun, with both ups and downs. Feeling frustrated or blocked in my progress describes the majority of my journey, because I had expectations of how much should be selling. Let me add, these expectations were not based on research. I had success, but I was focused on solving issues and not celebrating the wins. If I could do it over again, I would have found mentorship earlier to help me get traction sooner.
That's all for today's episode on the Knight of Swords reversed. Remember, to memorize tarot, keep practicing tarot. Thanks for listening.
