Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning tarot, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet. Here is the transcript: Welcome to the "Memorizing Taro Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Taro, but you can view the card while you listen using your own Taro card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Page of Cups, focusing on reversals. Let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then its meaning when reversed. The Page of Cups upright represents curiosity, emotional openness, and the beginning of creative or emotional pursuits. It's a card full of youthful energy, intuition, and a willingness to explore the depths of feelings and imagination. When reversed, this card suggests that you may feel emotionally blocked, disconnected, or resistant to tapping into your inner creativity or emotions. The reversed Page of Cups often points to emotional immaturity or insecurity holding you back. You might feel that it isn't fair how things are done or that your self-expression isn't appreciated or respected when you try to negotiate a solution. This card invites you to reconnect with your emotions, understand what's causing these blockages, and try a different approach. So what does that mean when we see the Page of Cups reversed in a reading? When the Page of Cups reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign that you must address these emotional blockages or insecurities. This card encourages you to explore these emotions rather than push them away. It's a reminder that emotional growth often requires introspection or a different perspective. It may also indicate that your creative energy is feeling stifled. Suppose you're struggling with a lack of inspiration or motivation. In that case, the reversed Page of Cups suggests that it's time to reconnect with your inner childlike curiosity when exploring these blockages but then solve them more strategically rather than expressing your emotions outwardly. So, how do you memorize this reversed meaning of the card? Tying the card to a personal experience helps me remember it. For example, my reversed Page of Cups moment was learning the political ropes in an office setting. More than once, I tried to assert myself when I was mistreated, and eventually, I just learned to handle things differently. My younger self didn't like confrontation, and I was okay with constructive criticism because I wanted to do my job well. However, there often was an office bully who was underhanded in how they dealt with team members, and it took me a solid decade of giving up the fight when I ran into these characters. Remember, the key to mastering taro is practice. As you listen to these three-minute lessons, the cards' symbolism will become more ingrained in your memory. Thank you for tuning in. Keep practicing and join us for more three-minute lessons to memorize more cards. Your dedication will surely pay off.
