Rider Waite Tarot Card Deck
=======================
I learned how to read cards on the Rider Waite Tarot Deck and the instructor I had said its easiest to have everyone on the same deck when explaining the symbolism. With time, I was able to transfer that knowledge to other decks. If you are a beginner at learning tarot, below are some links to the Rider Waite Tarot Deck to follow along if you need a set of cards. About Carrie and @QuickLearnQuests
===============================
I have been reading tarot cards for 30 years for fun. I took a two and a half day course, and I was so excited to be able to take the mystery out of getting readings done for myself, and to be able to do them myself. We also have social media channels, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and all major podcast distributors such as Spotify, Apple, Audible and many others under the handle @quickLearnQuests. I am focusing mostly on my podcasts and YouTube at the moment, but I will expand into more social media more consistently when I find my feet.
Here is the transcript:
Welcome to the "Memorizing Taro Cards" podcast, your three-minute lessons on learning and memorizing each card using symbolism. I use the Rider Waite Taro if you would like to view the card while you listen using your own Taro card deck or a computer. Today, we're exploring the Six of Cups, focusing on reversals. First, let's start with the divine meaning of the card and then the meaning when reversed. The Six of Cups Upright is often associated with nostalgia, childhood memories, and reconnecting with the past. It symbolizes joyful recollections and finding comfort in familiar experiences. When reversed, it suggests that you may be attached to the past in an unhealthy way. It can also indicate that unresolved issues or regrets are holding you back from where you want to go. The reversed Six of Cups often indicates a need for growth and change, urging you to release past patterns and embrace the present. It's about finding a balance between honoring your memories and letting go of what no longer serves you. When the Six of Cups reversed appears in a reading, it's often a sign that you must release your hold on the past. This card encourages you to let go of old attachments and focus on what lies ahead. It may also indicate that you're dealing with unresolved childhood issues or patterns that continue to affect your life. The reversed Six of Cups suggests that now is the time to address these matters and find closure, allowing you to break free from past limitations. For example, my reversed Six of Cups moment is working through my appearance as I age. I do not consider myself a vain person, but as my age has crept up, I have struggled with the changes in my face, specifically my eyes and mouth. I am working on seeing the aging process as beautiful and spending less time trying to look younger. My feelings are less about vanity and more about adapting to the idea of what aging looks like for me. This card reminds us that while the past can offer valuable lessons, we must let go and make room for growth and new experiences. Remember, the key to mastering taro is practice. As you continue to listen to these three-minute lessons, the cards' symbolism will become more ingrained in your memory. Thank you for tuning in. Keep practicing and join us for more three-minute lessons to memorize more cards. Your dedication will surely pay off.
