Tomas Prower is an author, practitioner, and educator who brings a deeply personal and inclusive perspective to the study and practice of magic. In exploring the idea of “Queer Magic” versus what is often labeled “regular magic,” Prower challenges rigid traditions and highlights how magical practice has always evolved alongside identity, culture, and lived experience. Rather than creating division, his work emphasizes that magic is fundamentally adaptive—shaped by the practitioner’s history, body, spirit, and worldview. By examining how LGBTQ+ practitioners reclaim, reinterpret, and enrich magical traditions, Tomas opens an important conversation about authenticity, empowerment, and the freedom to practice magic in ways that are honest, ethical, and spiritually meaningful.
