Romans 2 4-6 with Pastor Chuck Brookey It is the goodness of God that leads thee to repentance (Rom. 2:4). It is the Grace of God that teaches to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts (Tit. 2:11). The religious Jews didn't know this, because they thought that it was the commandments that was supposed to lead to a change, but the commandments could never change the heart, because "what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh" (Rom. 8:3). The answer is to walk in the Spirit (Rom. 8:4; Gal. 5:16)
