On the Tuesday show, Joe opened with the horse racing scene from “A Bronx Tale”. Why? The jinx variable that I always talk about. But in this case, I had to give myself one of those because I’m getting back on track with wagering on the horses, and Joe would have had the late pick 4 and late pick 5 at Parx. Umm yeah, Joe just wanted to see how his handicapping skills were despite not having a full bankroll, and could have brought some extra money into his account.

Then we got to the main portion of the show. It’s Madness on the court and off this March, as the final 16 teams are set for the men and women, and with the men, almost all brackets are destroyed. FDU? No way they win a game. Princeton. Two wins? GTFO! But Joe’s still excited nonetheless for this week of college games in the NCAA Tourney as they move on to the regionals in Louisville, NYC, KC, and for the first time, Las Vegas.

Madness was also off the court, as Rick Pitino moves from Iona to St. John’s, Ed Cooley goes to Georgetown after over a decade in Providence. But what is interesting is that the former Red Storm coach Mike Anderson got fired for cause but Joe needs to know more about what happened.

Then Joe talks World Baseball Classic, and since the last tourney was six years ago, can we remember what those injuries were? Probably not, but it’s very concerning that star players like Edwin Diaz and Jose Altuve will be out for a good portion if not all of the 2023 season. Also, Joe addresses Keith Olbermann’s statement. Joe agrees about the injuries and wondering how the hell Lars Nootbaar is playing for Japan, but thinks the verbiage that Keith used was unnecessary and wrong, no matter what your hot take was. Can Google and Wikipedia sponsor the next WBC?

Joe has a quick take on the NHL standings and upcoming playoffs. The Western Conference should be crazy in the last couple of weeks, and the playoffs. Can’t wait for that!

Finally, Joe thinks Antoine Davis is totally wrong in saying that he’s upset that he isn’t going to break Pete Maravich’s points scoring record. Sorry, your team was 14-19, and you didn’t break the record in 5 years. Go away.
