Welcome to Episode 12! In the last episode, we discussed breaking down stereotypes in nursing. This week, we shift focus to our patients. In this episode, we make the case that words matter when talking about our patients and explore how labeling patients as opposed to behaviors results in adverse outcomes. We also discuss the APA recommendations for words to use and words to avoid and advocate including this in all caregiver's practice.
