Amongst us are unsung heroes, just like Rumini M Ismail, an advocate of vision health.
She is a member of Singapore Association of Visually Handicapped (SAVH).
In this episode, Rumini did a flashback of the series of events that ultimately led her to
uncover that she was diagnosed with glaucoma at the age of only 19.
Glaucoma is known to be the thief of sight. Rumini proceeded on to be a teacher. She then
had to face cataract. With all these challenges, she had to make the call.
