Medicare faces a “fiscal cliff” as the Medicare Hospital Insurance trust fund is currently projected to run out of money in 2028. In a country with an aging population and a decreasing number of workers to support the Medicare insurance program for seniors, the fiscal cliff is a concern for current and future Medicare patients and the providers who serve them.
