FunkQuest -Season 2 - Semi Final 1 - Alyson Lex v Dr. Kimya Nuru Dennis

We are now at the Semi Final stage of FunkQuest season 2 and taking part ​are 2 very experienced Funksters, so listen well.

The round began with Alyson choosing the 'city scape icon'. The way she tends to remember things is through Mnemonics (using ​easier words/ images to remember more complicated or multiple ideas), She first learned this at high school.

Kimyas first question was 'How many questions do you ask'. Her answer was; that if people are interested in what you have to say they will ask questions, if they are mostly silent you will find that they are thinking about other things and not really listening. ​

Question 2 for Kimya was about her greatest achievement. She remembers speaking out at a board meeting when others were quiet ​, knowing that something had not been done when it should have. She also felt that keeping close to family during Covid 19 was an achievement too.

Alysons second answer involved a very comfy chair​, which was bought for her ​ ​husband but soon ​taken for herself. ​We also find that her second favourite chair is her ergonomic office chair.

The 'digger' was the next Icon to provoke Alysons interest and she felt that she would spend her 'last night on earth' writing letters to family and friends​, ​writing specifically ​to her young son for him to open at milestones in his life.

Kimya has developed a habit of saying "Go Away" she wishes that women ​could all learn this habit and be able to say 'no' when asked to do things for others that ​are​diguised in seemingly innocent conversations.

Kimya chose the 'skydiver' icon for question 4 and revealed that her last fight was about 20 years ago. ​She feels that people don't have to be silent warri​ors and sometimes a good 'whoopin' needs to be given.

Alyson last took a taxi when whe was alone in Sandiego for a conference. She feels safer in a proper taxi rather than in an uber one as she knows they have had back checks and can be relied on.

Alyson revealed in her final answer that she would love Morgan Freeman to be the narrator of her life story​ (who wouldn't) but in real life, it would probably be her ​own inner voice and the voices of people she has known especially her mothers and husbands voices.

The final question of the game went to Kimya​. We find out that she is very de​cisive and adamant. She likes honest people who have made up th​eir minds and who know themselves.
