The ImPactful Teen Innovation Sandbox program teaches students how to solve big challenges using a design thinking process in four phases: Understand, Ideate, Prototype and Pitch their solutions. The podcast provides an additional opportunity for the students to amplify their communication skills by learning from local leaders with domain expertise on a variety of global and local challenges. During Season 3, the students choose to explore how to tackle the challenge of "Good Health and Well Being." Team Equal targeted their creative flow towards "Transportation Challenges In Healthcare."

The Impactful Sandbox is a program developed by the Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education at the University of San Diego, Pactful, the social good app, and Cloudcast Media. Create Purpose joined during this season to enrich the experience with storytelling techniques, mindfulness, and plant recreation activities.
