Story Transcript:

Ko: 어느 겨울날, 눈이 내리는 서울의 거리에는 아무도 보이지 않았다.
En: One winter day, on the snowy streets of Seoul, no one was to be seen.

Ko: 빌딩들은 하얀 눈으로 덮였고, 하늘은 어두운 구름으로 가득 찼다.
En: The buildings were covered in white snow, and the sky was filled with dark clouds.

Ko: 그런 가운데, 오래된 학교 건물 하나가 있었다.
En: Amidst it all, there was an old school building.

Ko: 그곳은 이제 Minji와 그녀의 작은 무리의 피난처였다.
En: It had now become a refuge for Minji and her small group.

Ko: Minji는 학교의 옛 교실 창문을 통해 바깥을 바라보았다.
En: Minji looked outside through the old classroom window.

Ko: 그녀는 누군가가 올까봐 안절부절 못했다.
En: She was restless, fearing someone might come.

Ko: 그러나 그녀는 그들을 이끌어야 했다.
En: But she had to lead them.

Ko: 자신을 믿고 따르는 친구 Jisoo와 함께 이곳에 있기에 마음이 놓였다.

En: Donghae had joined the group a short while ago.

En: He was quiet and mysterious, but he knew about the hidden tunnels of Seoul's city center.

Ko: 식량은 거의 다 떨어졌고, 추위는 흉포했다.
En: The food was nearly gone, and the cold was fierce.

Ko: Seollal도 며칠 남지 않았다.
En: Seollal, the Lunar New Year, was only a few days away.

Ko: Minji는 이 추운 겨울 동안 안전한 은신처가 필요했다.
En: Minji needed a safe shelter during this cold winter.

Ko: 그리고 그들은 희망을 찾고 싶었지만, 새로운 해결책이 필요했다.
En: They wanted to find hope but needed a new solution.

Ko: "우리 Donghae를 믿어야 하지 않을까?" Jisoo가 말했다.
En: "Shouldn’t we trust Donghae?" Jisoo said.

Ko: "그가 길을 안다고 했었잖아."
En: "He said he knew the way."

Ko: Minji는 잠시 망설였다가 결정을 내렸다.
En: Minji hesitated for a moment before making a decision.

Ko: "좋아, Donghae를 믿고 따라가자."
En: "Alright, let's trust and follow Donghae."

Ko: 그렇게 하여 그들은 Donghae가 말한 대로, 도시의 지하 터널로 향했다.
En: Thus, they headed for the underground tunnels of the city, as Donghae had mentioned.

Ko: 터널 속은 추웠고 무서웠다.
En: The tunnels were cold and scary.

Ko: 하지만 그들은 서로의 곁에 있었기에 두려움을 이겨냈다.
En: But they overcame their fears because they were by each other's side.

Ko: 드디어 보물처럼 숨겨진 식량 창고를 찾았을 때, 그곳에는 이미 다른 생존자 그룹이 있었다.
En: When they finally found the treasure-like hidden food storage, there was already another group of survivors there.

Ko: 두 그룹 사이에는 긴장감이 감돌았다.
En: Tension filled the air between the two groups.

Ko: 모두가 조용했다.
En: Everyone was silent.

Ko: 하지만 Minji가 앞에 나섰다.
En: But Minji stepped forward.

Ko: "우리, 싸울 필요 없어. 함께 Seollal을 맞이하는 건 어떨까요? 서로 자원을 나누고, 겨울을 함께 견디는 거예요." Minji는 진심을 담아 제안했다.
En: "We don't need to fight. How about we welcome Seollal together? We can share resources and endure the winter together," Minji suggested sincerely.

Ko: 잠시 후, 다른 그룹의 리더가 고개를 끄덕였다.
En: After a moment, the leader of the other group nodded.

Ko: "좋아요. 우리도 함께 나누고 싶습니다."
En: "Alright. We'd like to share too."

En: And so the two groups began to trust each other and quietly shared their resources.

En: Minji smiled, realizing that true strength lies in solidarity.

En: At the school's underground cafeteria, they shared warm meals and laughed, welcoming Seollal together.
