Septiembre 24- Refugio en tiempos de angustia.

Salmos 9:9‭-‬20 RVA2015

"El SEÑOR será un alto refugio para el oprimido, un refugio en los tiempos de angustia.
En ti confiarán los que conocen tu nombre pues tú, oh SEÑOR, no abandonaste a los que te buscaron.
Canten al SEÑOR, que habita en Sion; cuenten en los pueblos sus hechos. Porque el Vengador de la sangre se acordó de ellos; no se olvidó del clamor de los pobres.
Ten compasión de mí, oh SEÑOR. Mira la aflicción que me han causado los que me aborrecen; tú, que me levantas de las puertas de la muerte, para que cuente todas tus alabanzas en las puertas de la hija de Sion y me goce en tu salvación.
Las naciones se hundieron en la fosa que hicieron; en la red que escondieron fue atrapado su pie.
El SEÑOR se dio a conocer por el juicio que hizo; los impíos fueron atrapados en la obra de sus propias manos. Higayón, Selah
Los impíos serán trasladados al Seol, todas las naciones que se olvidan de Dios. Porque el necesitado no será olvidado para siempre ni la esperanza de los pobres perecerá eternamente.
¡Levántate, oh SEÑOR! ¡Que no prevalezca el hombre! Sean juzgadas las naciones delante de ti. Infúndeles pánico, oh SEÑOR. Que sepan las naciones que no son más que hombres. Selah"

Este salmo es un clamor de David pidiendo su protección, pero ahora lo hace con una perspectiva de un Dios que hace justicia a los que claman a Él, a los justos, a los que buscaron refugio en Él.
Es curioso cómo el salmista mira a Dios como un lugar que ofrece protección.
Como ya lo hemos dicho, el salmista sabe por experiencia la importancia de esos lugares especiales donde su puede esconder y proteger los que son perseguidos y asediados por enemigos. También para los que no tienen una casa, los que van huyendo o son fugitivos y necesitan protegerse del calor, la lluvia y el frío.
Usualmente las cavernas en las rocas y cuevas en los montes son lugares precisos que se convierten en refugios.
Vamos a ver durante los siguientes capítulos de los salmos muchísimas referencias de Dios como refugio, como juez, como socorrista, y como protector al pobre y desvalido.

Estas cualidades de Dios son importantes tenerlas en tu mente y corazón para que sepas a quién acudir cuando estés pasando momentos de dificultad. Sean problemas financieros o conflictos dentro del hogar con algún miembro de la familia, sea cuando te visite la enfermedad o te sientas emocionalmente agotado, recuerda que el señor es nuestro refugio en momentos difíciles, que puedes entrar a ese refugio divino que encontramos cuando entramos a su presencia en oración, y que él se levantará cuando escuche tu oración para protegerte de aquel que quiera hacerte daño. No olvides que él va proveerte de lo que tú necesites.

Te animo para que aprendas de memoria el verso 12: "Porque el necesitado no será olvidado para siempre ni la esperanza de los pobres perecerá eternamente."

Considera:
En momentos cuando te sientes angustiado, te desesperas rápidamente o tomas tiempo para consultar al señor para exponerle tu situación y esperar en Su respuesta?

September 24. Refuge in times of trouble.
Psalms 9:9‭-‬20 NKJV
The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Sing praises to the Lord, who dwells in Zion! Declare His deeds among the people. When He avenges blood, He remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the humble. Have mercy on me, O Lord! Consider my trouble from those who hate me, You who lift me up from the gates of death, That I may tell of all Your praise In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I will rejoice in Your salvation. The nations have sunk down in the pit which they made; In the net which they hid, their own foot is caught. The Lord is known by the judgment He executes; The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten; The expectation of the poor shall not perish forever. Arise, O Lord, Do not let man prevail; Let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O Lord, That the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah


This psalm is a cry from David asking for his protection, but now he does it with a perspective of a God who does justice to those who cry out to Him, to the righteous, to those who have sought refuge in Him.
It's funny how the psalmist looks at God as a place that offers protection.
As we have already said, the psalmist knows from experience the importance of those special places where he can hide and protect those who are persecuted and besieged by enemies. Also for those who do not have a home, those who are fleeing or are fugitives and need to protect themselves from the heat, rain and cold.
Usually the caverns in the rocks and caves in the mountains are precise places that become shelters.
We are going to see during the following chapters of the Psalms many references to God as a refuge, as a judge, as a lifeguard, and as a protector of the poor and helpless.

These qualities of God are important to keep in your mind and heart so that you know who to turn to when you are going through difficult times. Be it financial problems or conflicts within the home with a family member, whether when illness visits you or you feel emotionally exhausted, remember that the Lord is our refuge in difficult times, that you can enter that divine refuge that we find when we enter his presence in prayer, and that he will rise up when he hears your prayer to protect you from the one who wants to harm you. Do not forget that he will provide you with what you need.

I encourage you to memorize verse 12: "For the needy will not be forgotten forever, nor will the hope of the poor perish forever."

At times when you feel distressed, do you quickly despair or do you take time to consult the Lord to expose your situation and wait for His response?
